Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. Ltd, the sole authorised distributor for KTM motorcycles in Nepal, has opened bookings for the 790 Duke in the Nepalese market. Nicknamed the 'scalpel', the KTM 790 Duke has been priced at Rs 23.99 Lakh in the Nepalese market.
Powered by the all-new LC8c engine, the 790 Duke is KTM’s first parallel twin-cylinder powerplant and its BS4 799cc engine punches out an impressive 105 hp and 87 Nm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The KTM 790 Duke comes with a chromium molybdenum steel frame. The mid-weight streetfighter gets 43 mm open-cartridge upside-down front forks and gas-assisted rear shock. There is a 300 mm disc at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear with Bosch 9MP dual-channel ABS.
The 790 Duke is one of the lightest motorcycles in its segment. The 790 Duke comes with the most comprehensive array of electronic rider assistance systems, including cornering ABS, lean-angle sensitive motorcycle traction control (MTC) along with four different ride modes - Sport, Street, Rain and Track, a Quickshifter+, launch control, and optional KTM MY RIDE smartphone connectivity.
The KTM 790 Duke currently takes on machines like the Yamaha MT-09 and Ducati Monster 821 in the Nepalese market.
